A Swiss family house with over a century of experience, and one of the first European fragrance houses to enter the Gulf market.
LUZI is a Swiss fragrance house founded in 1926 by the pharmacist Hermann Luzi, based in Dietlikon in the canton of Zurich. It has been family-run since 1952 and is now led by the third generation.
What makes LUZI particularly relevant to the Egyptian and wider Arab market is that it was one of the first European houses to enter the Gulf — from 1968. That means decades of practical experience with oriental olfactive families, not only European tastes.
The house has grown substantially: sales rose from CHF 17 million in 1998 to around CHF 110 million in 2023. It runs 7 sales offices across 4 continents, a production plant in Malaysia opened in 2016, and a creative lab in Paris.
In 2022 it opened a new 11,000 m² sustainable headquarters in Dietlikon, employing around 230 people.
